What are cookies?

Cookies are small text files that are used to store small pieces of information. They are stored on your device when the website is loaded on your browser. These cookies help us make the website function properly, make it more secure, provide better user experience, and understand how the website performs and to analyze what works and where it needs improvement.
How do we use cookies?
When the site loads, analytics storage is switched off and nothing that identifies you is written to your device. If you accept, Google Analytics sets cookies to count visits and see which pages are read. If you reject, it never does.
One exception: submitting the contact form runs a Google reCAPTCHA check, which sets a cookie whichever choice you made above. It is there to tell people from bots, and the form would be unusable without it. Nothing else on the site sets a cookie before you have chosen, and our error tracking sets none at all.
